When I found out that the first book was becoming "collectible" I talked to my agent, and she talked to the publisher, and we planned the creation of the second edition. Lots of work and fun, and it wrapped in August 2006 and released in February 2007. Online photo supplement here.

New information includes a slow-cooker cream soap recipe, a how-to for making your own decorative stamps and small molds using different kinds of polymer clay, making soap stones and felting soaps. The section on putting together a website has been expanded and there is more information on new kinds of molds, liquid colorants, using "souvenir" water to make soap with special meaning, and how to use blank liquid bases to make bubble bath and shower gel.

There is no way to cover literally everything about soapmaking. However, there is an enormous amount of information in this book.

Detailed information about ingredients, processes and techniques are online soaper's communitites, selling your soap and creating gift presentations. Many soapmakers - from well-known to hobbyist - have contributed words of wisdom on topics ranging from safety to making a go of business

This is Alicia's first book. It approaches making soap as a way to add a measure of Magick to daily living. Creating with intention is an active process, applied here to the simple art and craft of soapmaking.

There is basic small batch soap instruction, then a wide variety of recipes for holidays, life events special occasions and daily living
